payments
buying ETH, bridging from other chains, earnings, and cashing out.
the currency
praxis runs on ETH (Ether) on the Scroll blockchain. ETH is used for everything: registration, following, funding projects, buying media, sending money in messages. transaction fees are fractions of a cent.
prices are shown in your preferred fiat currency (USD, EUR, GBP, and more) and update in real time. switch currencies with the picker on the landing page or in your site header.
buying ETH (on-ramp)
if you do not have ETH, the sign-up flow and purchase flows let you buy it directly. praxis integrates a fiat on-ramp — buy with debit card, Venmo, or PayPal. ETH is deposited directly to your wallet on Scroll.
bridging from other chains
already have ETH on another blockchain? praxis includes a built-in bridge via Relay Protocol. supported chains:
- Ethereum mainnet
- Optimism
- Arbitrum
- Base
- Polygon
- zkSync Era
the bridge shows your balance on each chain and lets you choose which to bridge from. it activates automatically when your Scroll balance is insufficient for a transaction.
earnings
the earnings page at /earnings shows your financial overview:
- earned — ETH received from media sales and project distributions
- contributed — ETH you have funded into projects
- unclaimed — funds available to claim from completed projects or revenue sharing
claim unclaimed funds with a single click.
ticket market
artists can issue tickets for events, performances, screenings, or any gathering. tickets are on-chain credentials — proof of attendance that lives in the buyer's collection.
- listing — set a price in ETH, supply limit, and event details. tickets appear on your site's works page.
- buying — one click purchase. the ticket credential appears in your collection immediately.
- resale — ticket holders can list tickets for resale on the ticket market. 100% of the resale price goes to the seller.
- withdrawal — artists withdraw accumulated ticket revenue from the earnings page.
the ticket market contract handles listing, purchasing, and resale — no intermediary, no platform cut. all revenue goes directly to the artist.
cashing out (off-ramp)
to convert ETH back to dollars or your local currency, use the "cash out" button in your wallet menu or earnings page. this opens peer.xyz, where you can sell ETH and withdraw to your bank account, Venmo, or PayPal.
transaction costs
every action on praxis has a small network fee (gas). on Scroll, these are extremely low:
- following an artist: ~$0.00002
- posting to your blog: ~$0.00005
- proposing a project: ~$0.0003
- registration: less than $0.01
these fees go to the network validators, not to praxis.
100% of media sales and project revenue goes to artists and collaborators. praxis takes no cut. the only fee is the one-time deploy fee at registration.
