free subdomain

every artist gets a subdomain at yourhandle.ourpraxis.network. this is set during registration when you choose your handle. live immediately after sign-up. always available as a fallback even if you add a custom domain later.

buying a custom domain

during sign-up or later in settings, search for a domain. praxis handles everything:

1. search for available domains (.com, .art, .xyz, etc.)
2. see pricing in your currency
3. purchase with ETH
4. DNS records configured automatically
5. TLS certificate provisioned (HTTPS)
6. site live on the new domain within minutes

first two years included in the deploy fee. annual renewal at the registrar's actual cost — no markup.

bring your own domain

already own a domain? point it to praxis by setting these DNS records with your registrar:

• A record pointing to 5.161.199.120
• or a CNAME pointing to ourpraxis.network

once DNS propagates (usually a few minutes), the server automatically detects the domain, provisions a TLS certificate, and routes traffic to your site.

switching domains

update your domain anytime in settings. the on-chain registry records your current domain so the network always knows where to find you. your subdomain stays active regardless.

renewal

domains purchased through praxis renew annually. you will see the renewal cost in settings before it is due. praxis charges the registrar's actual price — no markup.

self-hosting

praxis is open source. fork the code, edit site.json, deploy on your own server, point your domain there. the blockchain is the shared layer — your site is just a window into it. self-hosting is free forever.
